Francesco Belfiore, a DJ, live performer, and electronic music producer from Rome, specializes in modular techno and has recently released an EP on SEMANTICA Records, the renowned label of techno artist Svreca.
Growing up with influences from Depeche Mode and Kraftwerk, Francesco fell in love with techno in 2004. A DJ and producer from the Italian capital, he has released music for the label Concrete Records and is the founder of the labels Truth or Consequences and SAVE THE BLESSED, the latter known for releases by artists such as San Proper and The Analogue Cops.
His preferences in electronic music have evolved towards the sounds of DJs and producers like Alva Noto, Aphex Twin, Boards Of Canada, Mark Ernestus and Moritz Von Oswald (Basic Channel), and Carl Craig. His music is distinguished by a minimal and hypnotic sound, characterized by intricate rhythms and complex sonic textures, reflecting the influences of the Berlin school and dub techno.
In addition to his musical career, Francesco is also a cyberpsychologist specializing in artificial intelligence and new technologies. His dual expertise allows him to explore and integrate connections between electronic music and technological innovations in a unique and creative way.
As a DJ, Francesco engages listeners by immersing them in mystical and multi-dimensional soundscapes, creating a sonic experience filled with paranoia and hypnotic suggestions. His performances are a journey through pulsating rhythms and dark atmospheres, capable of transporting the audience into a state of collective trance, making each set a unique and unforgettable experience.
